We are now looking for a Power Grid Specialist for our Porvoo office who can help us to continuously improve Volue’s ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission. 

What You Will Be Doing to Make a Difference:

• Provide services for customers power stations, HV grids, and wind fams.
• Remotely monitor the customer's production facilities, diagnose faults and alarms.
• Communicate with the customer's maintenance team, report disturbances, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
• Engage daily with customers, authorities, and other involved parties.
• Develop interruption plans based on customer needs.
• Create written instructions and train control room staff.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Degree in Engineering (preferably in Energy or Electrical Power Engineering).
• Strong ability to see both the big picture and the finer details.
• The ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• A systematic and organized approach to tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to independently absorb information and continuously learn on the job.
• Required language skills: Finnish and English; Swedish is a plus.

Additional Knowledge That Will Help You Succeed:

• Knowledge of switchgears and power transmission systems.
• Experience with SCADA systems.
• Basic understanding of energy markets.
• Familiarity with wind power production technologies.
• Knowledge of power grid protection principles.
• Understanding of reserve markets.
