We’re hiring our first Sales Account Executive (AE) in the UK – a pivotal new role as we expand our presence and build direct, local relationships. You’ll play a key part in driving growth and customer value while contributing to the wider energy transition.
This is more than just a sales role: it’s a chance to shape how Volue engages with the UK market, working with purpose, autonomy, and an experienced international team passionate about solving meaningful challenges.
What You’ll Do
As a Sales Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle – from identifying opportunities to closing deals – while building strong, long-term customer partnerships. Your work will directly support utilities, grid operators, and energy traders in navigating complexity and maximising value.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and executing strategic account plans for key prospects and customers.
- Developing strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders across all levels.
- Leading the full sales process: identifying leads, qualifying opportunities, delivering compelling demos, negotiating terms, and closing.
- Collaborating with Sales Development Reps, Solution Consultants, Sales Engineers, and Delivery teams to present tailored solutions.
- Winning new logos and expanding Volue’s footprint in the UK market.
- Managing your pipeline effectively and maintaining up-to-date CRM records.
- Championing customer needs internally to ensure successful onboarding and long-term satisfaction.
What You Bring
We’re looking for a results-driven professional who understands the energy landscape and thrives in a fast-moving environment. You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach.
You’ll need:
- A degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the energy or power grid sector.
- Proven success in software/SaaS sales, ideally within B2B or enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of the UK energy market – its players, challenges, and trends.
- Experience selling complex, consultative solutions to technical and business stakeholders.
- A consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong CRM discipline and transparency in sales reporting.
- Excellent communication skills in English (native or fluent); international experience is a plus.
